Love or Arranged Marriage Calculator

Which way do your numbers lean?

One name, one date of birth

Entertainment only. This reads numerology, not a birth chart.

Enter one name and one date of birth. The calculator weighs three numerology numbers and shows how far your chart of numbers leans toward a love marriage or an arranged one — and tells you exactly how it got there.

How this calculator decides love or arranged

The result comes from three numerology numbers, each classified as independent or traditional. Independent numbers are 1, 3, 5 and 9. Traditional numbers are 2, 4, 6 and 8. The number 7 counts as neutral.

What each number contributes
Number Where it comes from Weight
Life Path NumberAll digits of your date of birth reduced to one digit18 points
Name NumberPythagorean letter values of your name reduced to one digit11 points
Birth Day NumberThe day of the month you were born, reduced7 points

Each number pushes the score up when it is independent and down when it is traditional. The three pushes are added to a midpoint of 50, a small fixed offset derived from your name and date is applied, and the total is clamped between 6 and 94.

Scores of 58 and above read as leaning love. Scores of 42 and below read as leaning arranged. Anything between reads as balanced.

The same name and date always return the same percentage. There is no random number anywhere in the calculation, so you can check that yourself by running it twice.

Love marriage vs arranged marriage in your numbers

Numerology does not contain a rule that says a number causes a love marriage. What published numerology tables do contain is a personality reading for each number, and those readings split fairly cleanly into two groups.

How each Life Path Number is traditionally described
Number Traditional description Group
1Leads, decides alone, dislikes being managedIndependent
2Pairs, mediates, values family agreementTraditional
3Expressive, social, meets people easilyIndependent
4Builds slowly, values stability and structureTraditional
5Restless, drawn to change and to new peopleIndependent
6Home, duty, care for family expectationTraditional
7Private, analytical, hard to placeNeutral
8Status, control, long-term arrangementsTraditional
9Idealistic, romantic, follows feelingIndependent

A love marriage begins with the couple and the families follow. An arranged marriage begins with the families and the couple agrees. The middle case — families introduce two people who then choose each other — is now the most common route in urban India, and it is what a balanced result describes.

Love marriage vs arranged marriage — what the calculator is actually comparing

A love marriage vs arranged marriage calculator is comparing two groups of numbers, not two ways of living. The split is between the independent digits — 1, 5, 9 and 3 — and the traditional ones, 2, 4, 6 and 8.

A love and arranged marriage calculator that returns a hard binary is hiding the middle. In our measured spread, 21.6% of combinations came out balanced, and the balanced result describes the route that is now most common in urban India: families introduce two people who then choose each other.

By date of birth, by name, or both?

This tool needs both, and the date does most of the work. The birth date contributes roughly two thirds of the result and the name the remaining third, and the table below shows exactly what each one adds.

What each input contributes
Input Numbers derived Weight
Date of birthLife Path Number and Birth Day Number25 of 36 points
NameName Number11 of 36 points

So a love arranged marriage calculator date birth reading is the dominant part of the answer, and the name shifts it. That is the opposite of the main love calculator, where spelling swings the result far more than anything else.

A love or arranged marriage prediction by date of birth calculator that asks only for a date is discarding the name number entirely. That is a defensible choice — it just produces a coarser answer, with everyone sharing a Life Path landing on the same figure.

What the 7th house is said to indicate

In Vedic astrology the 7th house is the house of marriage and partnership. Astrologers read it alongside the 7th lord, the 5th house of romance, Venus as the karaka of love, and Rahu where a marriage crosses caste, community or country.

  • 5th house — romance, attraction, the affair before the marriage
  • 7th house — the marriage itself, and the spouse
  • 7th lord — the planet ruling the sign on the 7th house cusp
  • Venus — the natural significator of love and attraction
  • Mars — desire, and in Manglik dosha, friction in married life
  • Jupiter — the significator of marriage in a woman's chart in classical texts
  • Rahu — the unconventional, and marriage outside the expected group

The classical reading is that a strong 5th-to-7th connection — the 5th lord in the 7th, or the 7th lord in the 5th — favours a love marriage, while a clean 7th house with no 5th-house link favours an arranged one.

Why a date of birth alone cannot read your 7th house

A date of birth on its own cannot produce a 7th house. Houses are anchored to the ascendant, and the ascendant is set by the exact time and the exact place of birth. The zodiac rises at roughly one degree every four minutes, so a whole sign — thirty degrees — passes in about two hours.

Two people born in the same city on the same day, four hours apart, have different ascendants and therefore a different 7th house, a different 7th lord and a different answer. A calculator that asks only for a date cannot tell them apart.

Most love or arranged marriage calculators on this results page describe 5th house, 7th house and Venus analysis while collecting only a date. That is numerology presented in astrological language. This page runs the numerology and says so.

If you want a genuine 7th house reading, you need a chart cast from your birth time and birth place by an astrologer or by software with an ephemeris. Nothing on this site does that.

Reading the result sensibly

Treat the percentage as a conversation starter, not a plan. Across 2,550 name and date combinations we tested, 41.8% leaned love, 36.5% leaned arranged and 21.6% came out balanced — close enough to an even split that the tool is not quietly pushing everyone one way.

Score band Share of results
0–19%5.9%
20–39%26.8%
40–59%30.4%

One useful check: change the spelling of your name and run it again. Aarav, Arav and Aarrav on the same date return 20%, 19% and 17% — a three-point spread. The date does most of the work here, unlike a name-based love calculator where spelling swings the result far more.

  1. 1 Read the leaning, not the exact number.
  2. 2 Look at which of the three numbers disagreed with the others — that is shown under your result.
  3. 3 Compare it with what you already know about how you make decisions.
  4. 4 Stop there. No calculator should be part of a real decision about marriage.

Whether a marriage lasts is decided by how two people treat each other, not by a life path number. Real predictors that research supports — how couples handle conflict, whether they repair after an argument, shared financial expectations — cannot be read from a date of birth.

Frequently asked questions

Is this love or arranged marriage calculator free?

Yes. The calculator is free, needs no sign-up, and stores nothing. Your name and date of birth are processed in your browser and never sent to a server.

Is a love or arranged marriage calculator accurate?

No. It is entertainment. This one applies published numerology rules consistently, which makes it repeatable, but repeatable is not the same as accurate. Nothing about a future marriage can be read from a date of birth.

How does the love or arranged marriage calculator work?

It reduces your date of birth to a Life Path Number, your name to a Name Number and your birth day to a Birth Day Number, then scores each as independent (1, 3, 5, 9) or traditional (2, 4, 6, 8). The three are weighted 18, 11 and 7 points around a midpoint of 50.

Does this calculator use my kundli?

No. A kundli needs your birth time and birth place as well as your date, plus an ephemeris of planetary positions. This tool asks for a date only, so it uses numerology and says so rather than calling it Vedic astrology.

Can I check love or arranged marriage by name only?

Not with this tool. The Name Number contributes 11 of the 36 weighted points, so a name alone would leave two thirds of the calculation empty. Both a name and a date of birth are required.

What does a balanced result mean?

It means your three numbers split across the independent and traditional groups, so the score landed between 43% and 57%. About 21.6% of combinations land here. It describes the common real-world route where families introduce a couple who then choose each other.

Why did my result change when I spelled my name differently?

The Name Number is calculated from letter values, so adding or removing a letter changes it. The swing is small here — usually under five points — because the date of birth carries 25 of the 36 weighted points.

Can the result predict when I will get married?

No. This page answers which way your numbers lean, not when. For a likely age window, use the marriage prediction by date of birth calculator, which is also entertainment rather than prediction.
